BEAD Final Proposal & Awards Approved

The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program provides more federal funding to North Carolina to expand high-speed internet access for its residents and businesses. North Carolina's BEAD Final Proposal and BEAD awards have been approved by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration as of Dec. 19. All awards are contingent until they are contracted by the division in 2026.
